9. Chest discomfort
This is the most obvious sign of heart trouble. You may feel tightness or pain in your chest if you have a blocked arterial or a coronary. Chambers states that everyone has their word for this feeling. Chambers says it can feel like an elephant sitting on your skin, and others say it’s similar to pinching or burning.
The feeling lasts for more than 10 minutes. This feeling can occur when you are at rest or doing something physically. Chambers suggests that if the pain is brief or hurts when you push or touch it, it may not be your heart. It is essential to get the problem checked out by a doctor if symptoms persist for more than a few minutes and are not improving.
Keep in mind that you can have heart issues, even a heart attack, without experiencing chest pain. This is especially common in women.
